During its 4 season run (1987-1991), the fantasy sitcom Out of This World chronicled the capers of California teen Evie Ethel Garland. Evie's half-alien heritage enabled her with special powers that equally caused and helped solve problems in each episode. What's the best way to keep in touch with your alien father (voiced by Burt Reynolds)? How do you solve the age-old dilemma of two guys fighting over a girl? And why did so many teen shows from this era feature a 50s-style diner as a regular hangout? Come ponder these and other questions against a backdrop of wacky 80s fashion, cheesy sound effects and bad puns galore.
